Virginia "Ginny" Petty, age 85, passed away on January 14, 2025, at Altercare of Nobles Pond in Canton, Ohio. Virginia was born on July 20, 1939, in Milford Center, Ohio, the daughter of William Organ and Jaunice Robinson. A proud graduate and valedictorian of the class of 1957 of Miami Central High School in Troy, Ohio, Virginia was a homemaker who worked various jobs throughout her life, including teaching knitting. She concluded her career at V&S Schuler Engineering, retiring as the company’s Controller after many years of service.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her warm and caring nature touched many, and her family meant everything to her. Ginny enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including walking, reading, puzzles, playing cards, knitting, crocheting, and especially fishing. These activities brought her joy and allowed her to connect with others in meaningful ways.

She is survived by her sister, Carole McClay; daughter, Jennifer Plentovich (son-in-law David Plentovich); son, Robert Petty; grandchildren, Nicholas Plentovich (wife Rachel), Max Plentovich, and Jordyn Petty-Iammarino and numerous nieces and nephews.
