Vincent A. Patrino

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vincent A. Patrino, 78, of Dover, Ohio on February 25, 2023.

After high school Vince entered the Army Reserves.  He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran earning two purple hearts.  He worked in the elevator industry for 30 years as a mechanic, making some good friends over the years.

Vince was an avid exercise enthusiast who worked out daily, never missing no matter how tired he was or how many hours he worked that day.  He enjoyed his horses and worked tirelessly to make a beautiful homestead on the farm for his family.  On weekends, he worked endlessly to rebuild a 1968 BSA motorcycle.  He enjoyed entering it into competition which he usually took 1

st

place.  He always did everything with a sense of pride.

Vince was a devoted father, always knowing what his children needed.  He made such a significant impact on his children’s lives teaching them the importance of family, working together, and to take care of each other.  He supported his children through trial and error, good and bad times with kind words and wisdom guiding them to be strong successful individuals in life and for their families.

He always knew what to say at the right time to encourage or console his children when they needed it.  He always gave the best advice, guiding them in the right direction.  We can only hope to be half as amazing as a parent as he was to us.  He was the best family man for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

God blessed us with the very best.  We will honor him by showing our children the same love, compassion, guidance, and loyalty just as he did for us.  Pap, may you be at peace knowing everyday that your kids will strive to be just like you.  We love you and you will forever be in our hearts, loving you always – Monica and Luke

A special thank you to our dear friend, Nancy Miller who supported me in my time of need.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 11am-3pm at New Pointe Church, Dover, Ohio. Condolences and special memories of Vince can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
