Vern McKenzie

Vern McKenzie, 54, of Malvern, OH passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 after a hard fight with cancer. He was born in Massillon, OH on October 1, 1969 to Karen (Longo) Maust and the late Vernon M. McKenzie. Vern was a graduate of Sandy Valley High School. He spent many years as a truck driver.

Vern thought the world of his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very special, kind-hearted man that would do anything for you and a huge animal lover. He was a hard worker. You could often find Vern tending to his garden and flower beds. He also enjoyed Chevy trucks, motorcycles, Peterbilts, playing cards with family and friends and rooting for the Buffalo Bills.

In addition to his father Vern is preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank and his grandmother, Eleanor.

Vern is survived by his wife and best friend, Donna. He is also survived by his mother, Karen (Greg) Maust; brother, Nathan McKenzie, sons; Cody (Nicole) Fisher, Dakoda (Payton) Fisher, Devon (Roxanne) Fisher; grandchildren, Olivia “Rose”, Teegan, Kason, Waylon, Grayson, Kohen, and Talon along with many other family and friends.

Vern will truly be missed and never forgotten.
