Theodore Albert Gullia III

August 6, 1958 — November 22, 2023

Cleveland

Theodore Albert Gullia Ill, left this world on November 22, 2023. He was 65 years old. Ted was born August 6, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio. Ted graduated from Shaker Heights High School and Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He met his wife Anne in college and they married in 1987.

Ted was a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for music, sports, animals and nature. He had a long career in the produce industry as a broker and loved to share his knowledge with everyone. His grandfather, Joseph Giunta, opened Giunta's Stop & Shop supermarket where he was first introduced to the industry while working in the family stores as a teenager. After college Ted worked for several companies including CH Robinson in Cleveland and C&D Distributors in Chicago. In later years, he started his own company, Sherwood Farms, where he bought and sold produce from all over the world.

Ted was an athlete and coached his children's football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse teams. He also taught his children how to swim, ski and play musical instruments at an early age. Ted was a talented musician who played music by ear. While he played numerous instruments, he enjoyed the guitar the most. Ted performed in several bands for over 25 years and especially enjoyed playing Blues music. He performed at multiple music venues and created jingles for local advertisers with Anne.

Ted had a love for nature and animals which he attributed to his time camping in Algonquin State Park in Canada. He introduced many people to the benefits of being in nature there and at our own Cleveland Metroparks. Ted loved rescuing hurt or abandoned animals, wild and domestic, and placed many into homes and back to the wild. He had a amazing way of telling a story that would capture his audience and usually leave them laughing or debating. His quick tongue and gift of gab was well known amongst his family and friends. Ted had a huge heart which was always available to someone in need.

Ted's departure leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will live on in our lives forever.

Ted is survived by his loving wife Anne, sons Robert and Benjamin, daughter Claire, mother Marietta, siblings Christopher {wife Jeannie), Andrea Brice and Amy Gullia {husband Rob) and sister-law Carole Gullia. He is predeceased by his father Theodore A. Gullia Jr., and brother Joseph John Gullia, who passed away earlier this year; they were there to welcome him into God's kingdom.  A mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., December 12, 2023, at Gesu Catholic Church, 2470 Miramar Blvd, University Hts, Ohio 44118.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all that have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.
