Susan (Mann) Southern
KENT, OH – Susan (Mann) Southern, 79, passed away at home on May 30, 2022 surrounded by her family following a long battle with dementia. She was born September 2, 1942 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Warso) Mann.
Susan graduated from Warren G. Harding High School, class of 1960. Following graduation, she started her family. She was a talented artist, seamstress, bowler, and cook. She loved music, dancing, gardening, and playing cards. She was an avid reader and knew every Jeopardy question. She believed in the importance of education and encouraged and celebrated her grandchildren’s college educations.
She was a devoted wife to Morris for 21 years. She was a loving mother to Susan (Brian) Blosser of Warren, Christine (Gary) Springston of Marysville, Joseph (Natalie) Milone of Tallmadge, and Anthony (Cindi) Milone of Warren; stepmother to Dorothy Southern of Phoenix and James (Chennel) Southern of Phoenix; involved grandmother to 18 and great-grandmother to 17.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Henry Mann in 1966.
A private memorial service will be held for family. Those who wish to remember Susan may make donations to Alzheimer’s research.
