Steven K. Kurtz, age 63, went home with Jesus on April 23, 2024 after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. Steve was born in Akron, OH and a graduate of Springfield High. Steve joined the United States Navy on April 7, 1982 where he went on to serve 21 years before retiring in May of 2012.

Steve was a dedicated and hardworking man that made sure his family was always well taken care of and provided for. He enjoyed coin collecting, wood working, electronics, gadgets, spending time with family and friends, but mostly time with his grandchildren.

Steve will be best remembered by his loved ones for his goofy jokes and quirky personality, and he will forever be missed.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis A. Kurtz of 40 years, his children, Tara Kurtz and Christopher Kurtz, his daughter in law, Rebecca Kurtz; his 4 grandchildren, Brayden, Avalyn, Logan and Mason; his adored dog, Jazmyn; and his fur grandkids, Piper and Claire; his father, Milton Kurtz; his sisters, Sue Watford and Kathy Jenkins; and many nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Kurtz and his sister, Pamela Rich.

God said your time here is done, sir…time to come home.
