Following a long, hard, courageous battle with cancer Shelly Renae (Smith) Striker, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on February 15, 2021 at the age of 48. Shelly attended Indian Valley School District prior to being employed at Wayne Dalton DSI Door Systems for 7 years then owned and operated S&S Cleaning Services for 15. Her ability to be so strong and positive throughout having a terminal illness was extraordinary and something to be admired. Words cannot describe how much Shelly is loved and will forever be missed. She will always be on loved one’s minds and forever in their hearts. She is preceded in death by an infant son (Peanut).

Mommy…There is truly a piece of me gone now that you aren’t here. I am grateful to you for so many things but I absolutely cherish the last 3 years we had together and I could never understand why you always felt the need to apologize to me for caring for you because I am forever thankful to you for letting me. I love you so very much momma. When we say you are the best mother 3 children could ask for those are not just words. Our family is strong, close, and love each other so much because of you. I miss you so much but I know without a doubt you are here with all of us. I cant say I love you enough but Taylor and I do love you to the moon and back and then plus so much more. ❤

  5. David R Striker IV says:

Forever in my heart, I miss you so much everyday and I know that’s only going to get worse, but I know you will still be there for me. You are and always have been my inspiration. I love you more than words can ever express. You are the best mom anybody could ever ask for, you were caring but also no B.S. you shaped me into the man, husband, and father I am today. For that I will forever be grateful. I miss our talks and your sassiness. You have always been able to keep me grounded. I hope as I write this you are holding “peanut” I think about him a lot. I love you momma

    until we meet again….
