Seth Apple

Seth Apple, 30, passed away in his sleep on November 12, 2019. Seth was extremely creative, gifted musically, hilarious with a twisted sense of humor and loyal to the ones he loved. He didn’t know a stranger, as many would attest. Walking in the woods, playing his guitar, discussing his thoughts and ideas, playing video games and working in the kitchen at the Remarkable Diner were all passions of Seth’s. Sadly, he also struggled with the disease of addiction, ending his life way too soon.

Seth is missed by his parents, Lance and Carol; brother, Luke; girlfriend, Katie Jenkins; aunt and uncle, JoAnn and Bill Kiaune; cousins, Bill Kiaune, Ed Kiaune, Joe Kiaune; as well as so many other cousins and friends, near and far. A special thank you to The Packard Institute and all of those in recovery who reached out to Seth in his battle with addiction.

A service Celebrating Seth’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00 am at Johnson United Methodist Church, 3409 Johnson Rd. in Norton. Calling hours will be held at the church Friday evening from 6-8 pm. Come share a hug, a tear, a story and a laugh.

In lieu of flowers, consider expressing your care by donating to the Johnson UMC Youth Group (address above) or The Packard Institute, 461 W. Market, Akron OH 44303. Condolences can be shared with his family online at https://www.heritagecremationsociety.com/.

We are thinking of your beautiful, beautiful boy today, and thanking God for his life and the opportunity our family had to know him. We loved having Seth over to play with David all those years ago, and all the fun birthday parties. What a sweet child! And what a great family! We love you, Apple family, and we look forward with you to seeing Seth at a later date, when all things are made new.????

I’m so saddened for all of you. I personally didn’t know Seth but what a wonderful tribute to all the beautiful memories. Please remember Seth was not defined by his addiction. Thank God he has a new body in Christ. Prayers of peace and comfort.

I am heartbroken for your family. I love the picture you chose as it shows a happy playful side of him. The world is losing too many wonderful young people to addiction. It is a battle too many lose. May Jesus comfort each of you as He welcomes your boy home and ends the battle and provides peace.

You know our hearts ache for you, dear brother and sis. As a family you could not have loved Seth more, giving him the tools for a good life.
We have sweet memories of your beautiful boy; we will miss him as will our boys.

I was just thinking of last Christmas when we were all together. We had such a wonderful time. And Seth played that great trick on Denny with the fake lottery card. A day I will remember with happiness and joy. And I know this Christmas, Seth will be happy and laughing with the Gardians, Lloyds and the rest of the crew. May God grant you three peace and comfort.

Seth was a beautiful soul who accepted everyone exactly where they were in life. The time I shared with Seth is something I will always remember and cherish. Also the time I shared with Seth’s mother Carol has a special place in my heart. I am sending all my love and prayers to Seth’s family and friends in this time of loss. Another beautiful life taken way too early by the disease of addiction. Seth’s suffering is over and may his soul rest in peace.

    Dear Lance, Carol, and family
We could see and feel your grief in church, but didn’t know of Seth’s death until we read it in the paper on our return home. You have our deepest sympathy and prayers during this difficult time. Your church family.

Lance and Carol, My heart broke when I saw Seth’s obituary. I am so very, very sorry for your family. I remember comparing kid stories so many years ago.
I was sitting outside in my screen-house yesterday trying to come up with some words to say. Then I saw a sign I had made from a Yoko Ono exhibit hanging on the wall that said “IMAGINE PEACE.”
Imagine peace for Seth is my wish for you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
