Scott Allen Roland passed away on October 16, 2023 in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Harvey and Nancy (Smalley) Roland on March 1, 1961.
Scott graduated from Louisville High School in 1979 where he was a member of the debate team.
Scott was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Scott enjoyed listening to Rock music with the Beatles being his favorite band. He was a big fan of football. He liked watching Penn State, Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburg Steelers.
Scott was a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents and nephews Jerry and Jeff Cox.
Those left to cherish his memory are sisters Valorie (Sam) Smith and Brenda (Joe) Stein, and brother Todd Roland; niece Jennifer (Charles) Hewitt and nephews Kyle (Katy) Stein and Brandon Hegal. Great nephews Sean Hewit and Cooper Stein, and great nieces Samantha and Savanah Hewit, and Lilly Stein; friends at the Canton VA.
The family would like to thank Scott’s good friend, Philip Crist, for the many years he would drive Scott to his appointments or go out and get a cup of coffee.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to the compassionate staff from Aultman Hospice.
Services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on March 1, 2024 at 2:15 PM where his ashes will be interred. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held afterwards at his home.
