Sandra L. (Briggs) Weber age 71 of Bolivar passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, November 11, 2018 following a lengthy battle with Pancreatic cancer. She was born March 25th, 1947 in Dover, Ohio to the late Roger and Geraldine (Doney) Briggs. She was an employee of the New Philadelphia Walmart for the past 24 years. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her great-granddaughter.

Sandra is survived by her son, Brian (Cristy) Weber of Gnadenhutten; her daughter and caregiver, Kelly (Erick) Stealey of Dover; grandchildren, Ashlee Kurtz, Kyle (Tori) Kurtz, Brittany Stealey, Brianna Stealey, Brock Weber, Brennen Weber and Matt Cooper; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Cameron Cooper; great-granddaughter Isabella Kurtz due in December and another great-grandchild due in June; brother, Gary Briggs of Brewster; nephew, Ben Briggs and a dear friend Phyllis Fowler of New Philadelphia.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, David Briggs.

In keeping with Sandra’s wishes, no public services are planned. A private gathering will be held at the convenience of her family. The family would like to thank Community Hospice of New Philadelphia for the wonderful care Sandra received. Condolences can be shared with the family online at

    I will miss Sandy so much! I just moved back to the area and was hoping to see her, I was so sad when I heard she wasn’t doing well. I know she is at Peace now and watching over her family that she adored! She was such an amazing woman!

    I am so sorry for the loss of your mom Kelly. I was shocked when I heard the news, she was such a great person. I loved getting to know her at Walmart.
