Sandra Clark

March 14, 1951 — August 17, 2023

Navarre

On Thursday, August 17, 2023 Sandra was called home, she passed peacefully surrounded by the Love of Christ and her children.

Sandra was born to Waneta Broyles. She and her siblings were raised by her mother and her husband, Oliver (Bud) J. Bender.

She attended Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado and soon started a family of her own. She married Kenny Rogers and had three children: Aaron Rogers, Jeffrey Rogers, and Linda Williams.  After all of her children were raised, she and Kenny divorced.  She looked after her father Bud in his senior years. After his passing she moved to Ohio to help Aaron raise his family, and at this time she became an influence on her grandchildren.

She was a spiritual woman who feared God. She felt the urge to improve herself educationally. She then enrolled herself into Stark College where she had several papers published.  She loved to write and share her short stories.

In her final years she lived at Brewster Park Nursing Home and Assistive Living, where she was well loved. She was an active member of their community as she loved getting her nails done, playing bingo and attending Church with her friends.

She was the most patient, faithful person I have ever known. She was a devoted daughter, a loving sister and a caring mother and grandmother.  She will truly be missed by all.

Those left to cherish her include her sisters, Mona Hecht, Rose Greenough and Irene Rae; her children, Aaron Syrene Rogers II and his spouse, Charlotte Walls Rogers, Jeffrey David Rogers and his spouse, Megan Fritch Rogers, and Linda Joy Williams and her spouse, Ivan Francis Williams III; grandchildren, Steven Walls, Andrew Rogers, Jessica Motz-Simons, Shaun Rogers and Bailey Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Logan Simons and Michael Walls.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Waneta Bender, father, Oliver “Bud” J. Bender, brother, William “Bill” Bender and grandson, Charles “Charlie” Walls.

There will be services held in Colorado for her family in residence and a Memorial Service is being planned at a later date to honor her final wishes.
