Poem: Ruth’s home coming  by Monica Burleson

Ruth’s Homecoming

Let ye not hold back the tears of pain, sadness and sorrow. As the Lord has looked down upon her loving soul, and has given her the nod telling her its time to come home. Let us not weep for our loss but praise, as she will take that one journey home. Let us rejoice with her that her one true wish that she hath yearned, and dreamed of for so long is coming true. Let us thank the Lord our Father for the time that we had with her, and the time we still have left with her. Let us feel blessed that she is going home……. to see her father and maker, her father her beloved mother, her sister and brothers and her beloved spouse. Let us give gratitude to the Lord for blessings us with so many wonderful, funny, fond, happy, sad and joyful memories, that we will always cherish till the Lord calls us home.

Ruth passed away Thursday August 31

st

2017 early morning at home with Grace Hospice Care. She was formally of Massillon Ohio and had lived out the rest of her years in East Sparta Ohio. She had a wonderful character and a beautiful spirit. She was always willing to help others in need. Ruth was a life long member of the Canton Baptist Temple. She worked at Tyson’s as a wheel bearing inspector. She is proceeded in death by her spouse Roy C. Burleson, mother Louisa Anna Stangelo (Schmidt) her Father John Stangelo her 4 brothers and a sister, Charles, Frank, Mildred, George and Jack.

She leaves behind her only son Allen (Monica), sister Norma (Bud deceased) Pigmon, Brother in law Ted (Janeen) Burleson. She also leaves behind grand daughter Renee (Todd) DeChiara great grand-children Brenda, Ciara, Greyson, Natalie, Ericah and Andrea. Nieces Roseanne Miller from Utah, Susan Kay Burleson, Suzanne McPhail, Pam Rogers all from Canton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As a result of her generous, pleasant, feisty personality, she left an imprint of her influences on all people that she met. She was extremely loved and will be missed by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the beautiful birds she saw daily out of her kitchen windows. Her spirit was as free as the deer and turkeys that roamed freely in her back yard. For Ruth everyday was a blessing that the Lord her Father gave her. She sat at her table reading her scriptures and doing her word search puzzles which she loved. She also loved sending cards to friends and family always inserting words or scriptures of encouragement even if she thought that they didn’t enjoy them.

Our family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful caring staff of Grace Hospice. For without their help, this transition would not have been as gentle for our beloved mother’s passing away. We would like to especially thank Tiffany RN and Tammy HHA  and Chaplain Reggie from Grace Hospice for listening to our fears and crying with us as we knew that her time was near. We would also like to thank Dr. Charles Chen from Visiting Physicians Association, for all that he has done through out these years in assisting with the care of our mother. She truly liked the way he cared for her and thought he was a wonderful doctor.
