Rosemary (Riechman) Kennison

No matter where you go, I will forever put you in my heart.

Rosemary (Riechman) Kennison went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family, at her daughter’s home on May 17, 2020. She grew up in Strasburg, Ohio and was a 1966 graduate of Strasburg High School.

Rosemary married the love of her life, Wayne Kennison, on November 6, 1974. They enjoyed many things like camping, fishing and traveling, as long as they were together. Wayne always called her “kitten,” and they traveled with their “fur babies,” Nikki & Buddy.

Rosemary was well known for her love of baking and cooking. It’s where she felt the most at home. She loved spending time with her family and outdoors. She shared a special bond and love for Goodwill shopping with her granddaughter, (Peanut) Shalynne Allen. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling to the ocean with her great-granddaughter, Emmalynn.

She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Wayne Kennison, and her children; Marcy (Anthony) McKain of Vienna, WV, Shelly (Paul) Clark of Strasburg, OH, and Wendy Reichman-Kennison of Tippecanoe, OH; and sister, Cheryl (Chip) Kennison of Zoar, OH. She also leaves her grandchildren, Cory McKain, Tyler (Lacey) McKain, Toni McKain-Packer, Jessica (Tyrell) Johns, Sheila McNichols, Justin McNichols, Shalynne (Kurt) Allen, Drew (Tilyn) McNichols, Chynna (Billy) McMahan, and Hunter (Kyla) Stringer. Rosemary is fondly remembered as “Grandma Old” to her 26 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Marie Reichman; a sister, Goldie Marie Peterman; brothers, Ron Millegan, Cotton Reichman, and Henry Reichman; niece, Luella Jones; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Lynn McNichols.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Community Hospice for their wonderful guidance and care. A special thank you to Nurse Tamara and Aide Heather for the exceptional care and kindness they gave to our mother.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 6, 2020 from 12-4pm at her daughters home located at 8762 Reed Rd, Strasburg, Ohio. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family online at
