Rose Lydia Larson (nee Wood) passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2019 surrounded by her family. Rose was born in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada to Bill and Catherine Wood and it was there that she met the love of her life, Dale Larson. They spent 70-years in a beautiful loving, committed partnership raising three children, Eric (Sharon), Allen, and Susan (Sidney). Rose had five grandchildren; Sara (Justin), Mandy (Boris), Victoria (Chris), Michael (Lauren), and Christopher (Misty) and nine great-grandchildren who loved and admired her.
Rose had many passions in her life and was an incredibly hardworking woman. Her love for the natural world often inspired her gift of artistry from painting to pottery. She was an avid bridge player, in which with a sharp mind and memory she excelled. Rose worked in many places in life and well into her 70s. She took great pride in her work and dedicated community service to elders.
Rose will be deeply missed, and her memory treasured by those who loved her. Private services will be held for her family and friends in Wooster, Ohio at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 445 North Bever on Saturday July 27, at 3:00 PM conducted by Pastor William Rodriguez and her son, Eric who will assist. Her ashes will be interred at another celebration of life at Amherstburg, Ontario to honor her amazing life and legacy.
