Ronnie Joe Greathouse, age 69 of Chippewa Lake, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2024. 
 
Ronnie (friends and family knew him simply as Joe), was born on July 20, 1954 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Ulysses Grant Greathouse and Delma Gladys Greathouse (nee Alvis). 
 
Ronnie was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley.  Dear Father of Joseph and Melissa Greathouse and Gelah Cavins.  Grandfather of Kaitlynn, Joshua, Emily, Amber, Tyler, Zachary, Natalie, Heather, Jerry, Jeffrey, John and Jordan. Great-Grandfather of nine and brother of Kenneth, Mary, Samuel, David and Ruth.  Beloved Uncle, Cousin and Friend to many! 
 
Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers; Emory, Ulysses Jr., Grant, and the Twins; sisters, Alma Mae and Mildred (Louise).  
 
One of Ronnie’s favorite places to be, was on the water even though he couldn’t swim.  He loved boating on Chippewa Lake and would fish any chance he could get.  He was passionate about his favorite sports teams, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. 
 
For those who knew Ronnie, he was one of a kind and always lived his life to the fullest and “did it his way”.  You will be greatly missed by all, and your spirit will live on in the memories of those whose lives you touched. 
 
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life in Wadsworth, Ohio on July 6, 2024 at 3 pm.
