Ronald J. Michaels
Dr. Ronald J. Michaels age 83, of Avon Lake OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 15, 2019 with his beloved wife and five children by his side.
Ron is survived by his spouse of 60 years Patricia (nee Steigerwald) and children Mary Beth (Dan) of Sunnyvale, CA, Bob (Patty) of Olmsted Falls, Paula FitzGibbon (Mike) of Rocky River, Jeannie of Bay Village, and Mark (Beth) of Lower Gwynedd, PA. He was also a very proud grandfather of nine.
Ron was a member of the first graduating class of
Saint Edward High School
(1953). He attended
Western Reserve University
, graduated from their School of Dentistry in 1961, and held a private practice in Avon Lake for nearly 40 years. He was an avid golfer and member of Oberlin Golf Club for over 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and will always be remembered for his love of sports, great sense of humor, and huge heart.
A Mass to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at
Saint Joseph Parish
32929 Lake Rd. in Avon Lake on Saturday January 19
th
at 10:00 AM with a reception to follow in the church hall from 11:00-12:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
Saint Joseph Elementary School for tuition assistance
