F O R E V E R by Christina Rossetti
Remember me when I am gone away, gone far away into the silent land.
When you no more can hold my hand, and I half-turn to go, yet turn to stay
Remember me when, no more, day by day, you tell me of the future that you planned.
Only remember me, you understand, it will be too late to counsel than to pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while, and afterwards remember, do not grieve.
For of the darkness and corruption leave, a vestige of the thoughts that I once had.
Better by far you should forget and smile, than that you should remember,  and be sad.

10 Tributes to Richard Himmel

  1. Stacy Himmel says:

    My dear brother Rick,
I miss u and I love you so much. Your sense of humor an quick wit; your laugh an your charm. You were always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. You were a great brother to your siblings and a great uncle to your nephews. I will always cherish the good times we had, from our travels with our dad and our mom, to the Uno card games, to the time we went to Myrtle Beach together, and just the everyday times of the sibling relationship of life, like giving each other “noogies” on the head for no reason. :0)
I know you are at peace now, away from the struggles of this life. I know you are with Dad again, and that gives me great comfort. I pray that God holds you both close until we are together again.
    All my love,
