Randy T. Atkinson (Cordell)

Randy Timothy Atkinson (Cordell) , age 25, died in his journey to find peace on Sunday June 25th, 2017, in Rittman, Ohio.

Randy is survived by his partner of almost four years, Samuel Franklin, of Wooster Ohio. He leaves behind his brothers Dylan C. Shaver of Lodi, Ohio, Quinton L. Atkinson of Huron, Ohio, Troy L. Kniep Jr. of Columbia Station, Ohio and his sister Kyerstyne E. Kniep of Columbia Station, Ohio. Also, a half sister Faith M. Schram of Cleveland, Ohio. Maternal Grandparents, John and Sue Cordell of Columbia Station, Ohio and Carol Page of Columbia Station, Ohio. So many aunts, uncles and cousins as well.  He is preceded in death by his baby sister, Jasmine S. Cordell; his Great Grandparents Harold and Edna Cook; Leonard and Gertrude Cordell.

Randy was born on February 16th, 1992  in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, to his mother Stephanie S. Atkinson (Cordell) .Randy and his mother will forever have an unbreakable bond that even in death, can never be broken. He attended school in both Elyria, Ohio and Lodi, Ohio before obtaining his GED ahead of his graduating class. His intelligence was above what any of us could ever comprehend.

Randy had too many passions in life to even begin to list. He adored his family and friends, putting them first before himself. He loved nature in every glorious form from micro organisms to the great unknown of space itself. Randy lived to make others happy, smile and feel loved. Randy was passionate, endearing and sympathetic to ALL. Randy was loved by each and every person whose lives that he touched. If anything, Randy’s mind and soul were tortured by the fact that he had so much love and life to give, but didn’t know how to express it.

Randy will be cremated. His remains will be distributed to his mother, partner and siblings. The remainder to be spread amongst nature, where he is free. In every insect, animal, tree, the clouds, the sun, the moon and the stars, Randy is alive there.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Randy’s Celebration of Life Memorial that will be held on Saturday July 15th @ 1:00 p.m. til whenever in Cascade Park, located at 170 Cascade Drive, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Just look for the pavillion covered in shades of GREEN. The family would like to thank each and every one who loved Randy for Randy.
