Micheline “Mickey” Mcdaniel
Micheline “Mickey” McDaniel, a lifetime resident of the Akron and Kent, OH areas, passed away suddenly on July 22
nd
, 2021 at 63 years old.
Mickey’s memory lives on with her only child, beloved daughter, Jennifer London; grandchildren Lori London, Curtis Rhoden III, Michael McDaniel, and Daniel McDaniel; goddaughter, Danielle Stephens; her best friend, Barbara Mauk; and many other friends and relatives that loved her dearly.
Her spirit will be reconnected with her parents, Nancy Shelton (nee Linnen) and Joseph Labelski; husband, Charles T. McDaniel; close cousin, Linda; friend, Dee Powell; other late family members; and several longtime friends.
Mickey was often known as a woman who could master anything she decided to try, and the woman who would go to the ends of the Earth for those she loved. Like anyone else, her life was never picture perfect, but she battled her trials and tribulations fearlessly and never stopped being a source of strength and undying love for those around her. In her younger years, she was an effortless shining star earning impressive recognition and accolades in activities such as competitive swimming, bowling, sewing, and baton twirling. She spent her adult years being a devoted mother and grandmother. Mickey loved to have fun and will be remembered by everyone as the person who would always be willing to lend a listening ear, thoughtful advice, kind words, or protective comfort when needed.
The family welcomes friends and associates to share any photos or fond memories they may have via social media. While there will be no formal funeral service, a memorial event is being planned and announcements will be made when organization is complete.
