Michael Salsgiver

Michael Salsgiver, 68, of Troy Township, Ohio passed away on Tuesday January 17th, 2023 at Hillcrest Hospital. He was born May 22nd, 1955, to his mother Marguerite Salsgiver and his father Frederick Salsgiver in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Michael is survived by his wife, Mellony, his kids Chris, Nick, Michele, and Steven, along with his several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Michael was self-employed for the last 12 years of his life, but worked at the Food Terminal in Cleveland, OH as a truck driver for Economy Produce, and at various produce stands at the West Side market prior. He enjoyed fishing, grilling/smoking/barbequing meats, and spending time camping with an open fire. He had a deep passion and love for old cars, and restored A 1965 Mustang along with A 1978 Ford Pinto.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 19th, 2023 at 7667 York Rd, Parma, OH from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences and special memories of Michael can be shared with his family online at
