Mary Kepler

On Friday, February 25th, 2022, Mary Kepler of Wadsworth, Ohio was just a few months shy of her 99th birthday when she passed away peacefully with loved ones at her side.

She was a member of Ohio Eastern Star (80 years), Wadsworth United Methodist Church, VFW, and numerous other clubs. During WWII Mary was in charge of gas ration stamps. In later life, she was a bookkeeper at West Theater, a secretary at Barberton Board of Education and a secretary at Firestone Tire & Rubber in Akron. After retiring, she volunteered for the Red Cross at her local hospital. Gatherings to celebrate the birthdays of family and friends was a favorite pastime. She loved going to the Akron Rubber Ducks’ games with Harold and rarely missed a Cleveland Indians game on TV.

Mary is proceeded in death by her husbands: Jack Willis (biological father of her 3 girls), Gordon Edwards (wonderful gardener and cook) and Harold Kepler (amazing dancing partner for 28 years); her parents, Warren & Pearl Williams; brothers Al, John, Daryl and Wes, and daughter, Carol (Willis) Spoon.

Our much loved “Mum” is missed by her daughters: Linda BonTempo (Frank), and Susan Billings (Robert).

Beloved “Grandma” is missed by: Brian Kenner, Jennifer Craig (Todd Miller), Matthew Kenner (Cari), Harley Hoff IV (Heidi), Rebecca Hoff, Cheri Rice (Jennifer Prater), Pamela Anderson (Gene Mitchhart), Leslie Jarosky (Chris), Nicole Trunk (David), and Jason Billings (Shannon Stephens).

Cherished “Great-grandma” is missed by: Chris, Julianne, Dennis Jr, Katy, Megan, Brandon, Nicholas, Dustin, Jesse, Harley V, Dominic, Mackenzie, Samantha, Markus, Jordan R, Richard, Jake, Tyler, Hannah, Madelyn, Dakota, Christopher, and Jordan S.

Our treasured “Great-great-grandma” is missed by Raelyn, Sophia, Aiden, Isabella, Zackary, Karter, Lloyd, Samson, and Cambrie.

Our adored “Aunt Mary” is missed by Laura, Debbie, Alan and many more.

Friends and family will especially miss her sweet, sweet voice and words of encouragement.

A special thank you to Traditions Hospice along with Sanctuary Health Care – Wadsworth Campus. The care you gave was wonderful and the family is very grateful to each of you.

There will be no burial service. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wadsworth United Methodist Church – youth group, 195 Broad St, Wadsworth OH 44281 or to a local charity of your choice. Or take a loved one out to eat and spend some quality time with them…she would like that, too.
