Mary Jane Varga
Mary Jane Varga of Rittman, OH, passed away December 6th, 2016 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel Lane, her siblings, Catherine and George Jr., and by her husbands, Richard C. Hilscher and J. Lester Varga. She is survived by her children Randall L. (Ann) Hilscher of Canton, OH, Barbara M. Gray of Sarasota, FL, Richard W. (Deborah) Hilscher of Wichita, KS, and Laurie L. (Donell) Humphrey of North Canton, OH, and by step-children William Varga of Johnstown, OH, Charles Varga of Mexico, and James Varga of Westerville, OH. Among the families of these children and step-children Mary Jane had 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, Mary Jane’s body has been cremated, and her ashes will be buried at the foot of her mother’s grave in Waco, Texas, where she was born on August 9th, 1926. A memorial service will be held at Martins Mennonite Church, 14027 Church Road, Orrville, OH, at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21st, with Rev. Randy Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Road, Rittman, OH 44270, where Mary Jane had lived since August, 2010.
