Marion Frances Devlin
Marion Frances Devlin, 80, of Hudson, Ohio died August 9th, 2018 at Hospice of Western Reserve following a 28-year battle with Breast Cancer. She was born on April 28, 1938 to Dr. Thomas W. Russell and Mary Fabbrini Russell in Chicago, Illinois.
Marion married Edward Devlin on September 4, 1961 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Chicago, Illinois.
Marion first and foremost was an exceptional mother and loving wife and friend to all. She retired from the Hudson Ohio City School District in 2014 following many years of service. In prior years she held Administrative Assistant positions in industry at The Philco Ford Corporation, Connersville, Indiana and Material Service Corporation, Chicago, Illinois.
She is survived by her spouse, Edward Devlin of Hudson, Ohio, daughters, Mary Bierbusse (Paul Bierbusse) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Patricia Owsley (Darryl Dreisbach) of Perrysburg, Ohio; sisters, Margaret Braunstein (Rick Braunstein) of Sand Point Idaho, Kathleen Russell (John Kurland) of Naperville, Illinois, Mary Pat Russell (Doug Huston) of Geneva, Illinois, brother, William Russell (Diane Russell) of Naperville and 5 grandchildren; Erin Bierbusse, Patrick Bierbusse, Matthew Wunder, Madison Owsley and Mckayla Owsley.
Marion was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Russell (Karen Russell).
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Parish in Hudson. Family will receive friends at the Church immediately prior to the mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 410 North Main Street, Hudson, Ohio. A luncheon in the Church Gathering Hall, Lower Level will follow burial. The family suggests that donations be made to St. Mary Parish Lifelong Adult Ministry (L.A.M.). Our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Lois Teston, MD, and the outstanding nurses at University Hospitals of Cleveland who cared for Marion over the years, and Hospice nurse Stacy Kreps, RN for her compassionate and professional care.
