Marilyn Hauff

February 6, 1946 — May 19, 2024

Brook Park

Marilyn Elizabeth Barbara Hauff, (nee-Pasek), 78, of Brook Park passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024.

She was born February 6, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Nicholas and Elizabeth “Betty”, (nee-Sorich) Pasek.

Survived by her husband, Edward Hauff; daughter, Jamie Brandt (Hauff); and a son, Jody Hauff; grandchildren, Jesse Brandt, Jada Hauff, and Taylen Hauff.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Pasek, Sr.

Marilyn was a 1964 graduate of St. Stephen’s High School.  She was an office manager for Kitchen Maid Meats for 29 years.

Marilyn grew up in what was known as the “Projects” in Cleveland, Ohio; She lost her mother at the age of 12 and had to take on household chores and cooking for her father and brother. She met many lifelong friends in the projects and cared deeply for them up to the time of her death.

After high school, Marilyn appreciated the free spirit lifestyle and was considered a Hippie. She began working at Kitchen Maid Meats at the age of 18 as the office and payroll manager until she retired in October of 1993. During her years working there she would often visit the Westside Market where Kitchen Maid Meats had a stand. It was at the Westside Market where she met her soon-to-be husband Edward (Ed).

Marilyn and Ed married July 20, 1974. They lived in Cleveland, Ohio on Rocky River drive in the upstairs of a duplex. Eventually the duplex owners sold it to Hopkins Airport for expansion and so they found a house in Brookpark, Ohio where they spent the rest of their years together raising a family and spending time with friends.

Marilyn had many hobbies including collecting anything purple, gardening, sitting in the sun, reading, listening to music, swimming, shopping, Amish Country, flea markets, garage sales, antiques, Pittsburgh Steelers, movies and hanging out with her friends.  She prided herself on being very knowledgeable about music and could name the artist and year to what I feel was every song she played on the radio.  She adored her grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with them.  One of her best attributes was her sense of humor!! She was also a proud member of the Strongsville VFW Post #3345

Family is honoring her wishes to have a Celebration of Life.
