Marie "Nanny" Sorkin

Marie Doris Sorkin, aged 77, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Ravenna, OH. Born on June 22, 1947, Marie's life was marked by her capacity to love deeply and embrace everyone she met with open arms and a witty remark.

Marie is survived by her loving children, Cathy Hartung, Ronald "Bill" Cline (Michelle), and Amy Marin (Fernando); two step-daughters, Laura May Sorkin (Heidi) and Amy Torowski (Jeff), 11 cherished grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebratory Mass will be held in her honor at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna on Saturday, March 29th at 10:00 am.

The family extends great appreciation to Altercare of Kent, Miracle City Hospice, and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Cline, for the care they gave during what she called "the best years of her life”.
