I worked at Copeland Oaks for 26 1/2 yrs. Rev, & Mrs. Bibbee were both very dear to me. Such sweet kind and loving couple! Praying for the family. God Bless,

  2. Roselyn Bauman says:

I met Marie when I began Tai Chi at Copeland 6 years ago. She was there weekly to practice. Sometimes she wouldn’t do an entire class but she always came and we enjoyed her being with our class of three. She was a very kind and sharing person and we will miss her. Our prayers are with you.

  3. Jim Magaw, Sr. says:

Bonnie and I became acquainted with Marie when we moved to Mount Vernon and Ken was our district superintendent. We found her to be kind and generous, very intelligent and hospitable. We cherish her memory.

  4. Paul and Linda Beal says:

We were sorry to hear of Marie’s passing. We have known Marie and Ken since my appointment to Mulberry Street UMC in 1979. She was a
kind, lovely, and gracious person. You, her family, are in our thoughts and prayers. God’s peace be with you.

  5. Rev. Linda Hoffman- Peterson says:

    February 26,2020
I became acquainted with Marie and Ken when Ken became our District Superintendent in the Mt. Vernon District, and we were at Millersburg United Methodist Church, where my ex husband was pastor at the time. Both Marie and Ken were such LOVELY people! Their love, kindness, and spirituality were an inspiration to many; and I was personally greatful to them both for their love and kindness to myself and our family. I was fortunate to see them both at Copeland Oaks , when I was attending a Memorial service for the Rev. Harold Ewing. I also was so happy to see them at Taggarts Ice Cream Parlor, along with Dr. Donald and Mrs. Mauck, and some others , who were on an outing from Copeland. (Dr. Mauck was a former professor of mine at MTSO, in Church History and Christian Drama). It was such a Delight to see both couples there! I Cherish that Memory!
Marie was kind enough to offer me an over night stay several times at thier parsonage in Ashland, while Ken was doing interum pastoring at the First UMC there, and I was enrolled in one course at the Seminary( as a visitor), while finishing my M.Div. at MTSO. ( At the time, we were serving the Louisville UMC, so my home was in Louisville, Ohio.) I was ever gratefull to Marie for her hospitality and graciousness to me for that. The Bibbees both touched my life in SO many ways, and I am sure they are now resting in the Peace and Love of our Lord….Both of their daughters had wonderful parents!

I just wish that I could have enjoyed their company more recently, but we did keep in touch sometimes….
