Lynn Persohn Reed

Lynn Persohn Reed (b. 3/15/1934), a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and lifelong artist passed away January 26

, 2022, at the age of 87. She spent most of her adult life in the Akron, OH area but grew up in Towson, MD. She married Jack Reed in 1954 and they treasured a wonderful marriage of 51 years until Jack’s passing in 2005. They had three children and a beautiful life together. After his passing, Lynn traveled the world with her son John, visiting Egypt, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and many European countries. She never missed a moment to take a picture. Often these pictures were made into cards under her business name ‘Nature’s Gifts’.  Lynn also owned frame shops, North Court Gallery and Framing and then the Ghent Framer.  Family was very important to Lynn, including her 3 children, her 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In her later years, she was comforted by the care from her daughter Debbie, and towards the end, the help of Wendy Young and Dee Snider.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Dr. Frank Persohn, Jr. and her brother, Gordon Persohn.

She shares her memories with those still living  – her brother Frank Persohn, her children, Debbie Lilley, David Reed, John (Michelle) Reed, her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristen, Tricia (Zach), Brett (Camille), Megan (Jon)  and Jenna, and her great grandchildren, Madie, Lucas, Elena, Serena and Marco.

Lynn will be honored by a private gathering at her home.
