Lloyd Franklyn “Duke” Storie, Jr.
Lloyd Franklyn “Duke” Storie, Jr. passed away July 6, 2018 at the age of 72. The son of Margaret (Vlchek) and Lloyd Storie Sr.(deceased); cherished husband and devoted partner of 42 years to Robin (Weltsch); loving and adored father to Jack and newlywed Nick (Cassandra Corrao); and beloved beyond words to sisters Maryellen Storie (daughters Amanda and Emily) and Barbara Schuster (daughter Jessica and son J.P). He was loved by family and friends from coast to coast.
Raised in Shaker Heights, Duke graduated from the University of Miami and UCLA School of Law. He was a loyal, always hopeful, Cleveland sports fan and never missed a major sports car race, particularly the Indy 500 and Formula 1 season. He was lifelong golfer. He taught Robin the game and they played together to the end, never keeping score. We will miss his quiet strength, humor, and kind soul. A gathering of friends and family will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to Fraternite Notre Dame, to serve the needy, 502 N.
