Kent B. Chadwick

Kent B. Chadwick, resident of Chagrin Falls, OH, went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the age of 63 years. His earthly life, even at its end, touched others, as Kent requested to be an organ donor in the hopes that other people may have a chance for improved health and life.

Kent was born October 1, 1955 in Huntington, NY. He was raised in Glen Ellyn, IL.and lived in South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia, before moving to Ohio. Kent graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science in Business, and completed a Masters Degree in Education/Organizational Design from The George Washington University. Kent respected the ethic of hard work. Throughout his honored career, he shared his business talents in human resources, marketing, strategic development, project management, sales and product development, and was thankful to serve in recent years at SSP Corporation in Twinsburg, OH. He was also privileged to serve as an adjunct instructor at Myers University and at the Cleveland Campus of Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). He participated for a time as a member of the MBA Board at Myers University, and was one of the first adjunct instructors hired for the Cleveland Campus program at IWU.

Kent’s devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him. He was a faithful and loving husband and treasured family, sharing in the joys of children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed special community with dear friends from his small group Bible studies and prayer partners. Kent was a speed skater, wrestler and played football in his younger years, and was an avid golfer into adulthood. He also became involved in a Sportsman Club in recent years. Additionally, Kent enjoyed the creative side of life. He was skilled at working with web based graphics and spent significant time in woodworking and family projects. Kent also had an educator’s heart, taking time to help his family, students and others with problem solving and encouraging opportunities to learn and grow.

Kent will be deeply missed by his family who so dearly loved him: His wife, Michele (Lang) Chadwick, Daughters, Margaret Claire Donohue and husband Ryan, of Summerville, SC and Allison Anne Rushing and husband Matt, of Lexington, KY, and Son, Berkeley Lang Chadwick.of Chagrin Falls, OH, as well as grandchildren Keegan Walter Donohue, Molly Louise Donohue, and Ada Grace Rushing, and also his beloved siblings, Cyndie (Chadwick) Ebert of Chicago, IL, Keith Chadwick of Spring Grove, IL, Jeryl (Chadwick) True of Valparaiso, IN, and Laura (Chadwick) Lamm of Washougal, WA.

Kent was preceded in death by his father, Albert Chadwick and mother, Anne (Reinhart) Chadwick and, maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services for Kent will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. Guest may visit with the family prior to services at 4:00 p.m. or following the service. .
