Karen S. Harkless
Karen S. Harkless, age 74, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Barberton Hospital. She was born May 1, 1948 in Akron, Ohio a daughter of the late Marne E. and Nina Wandalaee (Erb) Himelright.
Mrs. Harkless was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. They were the center of her world, and she loved them unconditionally. She had worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and various cashier jobs locally.
She is survived by her son and daughter; Larry (Tina) Rutledge of Rockwell, NC and Sherri (Bill) Waters of Akron, OH; four grandchildren, Amanda (Robby) Morter, Alyssa (Derek) Morter, Jessica Rutledge and Travis (Angela) Rutledge and one great-grandchild Cali (Amanda).
She was preceded in death by sister, Mary Raines and husband, Gary (Bubba) Harkless.
Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Burial to take place at Cuyahoga Falls Cemetery. Condolences and special memories of Karen can be shared with her family online at
