Joy Donham

Joy Michele Donham passed away unexpectedly at her home in Alliance, Ohio on September 3, 2022, at the age of 44. She is preceded in death by her father, James Donham (1948-2007) and her mother, Margaret (Sohar) Donham (1946-2022). She is survived her sister, Stephanie Donham of Canton, two aunts, one uncle, and several loving cousins.

Always top of her class, Joy graduated from Marlington High School in 1996 and in 2004 she graduated magna cum laude from The University of Akron earning her Juris Doctorate. Joy was a very talented attorney, a member of MENSA, and highly lauded by those she worked with.

The world was not kind to Joy, but Joy was still kind to others. She was always willing to help when asked and often gave more than she received in return. Among her favorite things in life were caring for her pets, playing board games, attending rock concerts, watching scary movies, reading books endlessly, hitting the casinos with her mom, and spending time with her sister. She was silly and laughed at everything, but witty and sharp as a tack at the same time. Also, if you knew Joy, you know she always had the most wildly painted, long fingernails!

Joy was unique and never apologized for it. The world missed out on truly getting to know her and she missed out on the world.
