John “Jack” Snyder
John “Jack” Snyder, age 82, longtime resident of Wadsworth, Ohio went home to be with the Lord December 11th, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family, following a battle with cancer.
He was born October 7th, 1939 in Middleburg, PA, the beloved son of the late Paul A Snyder and Bertha R Springer. He attended Highland Schools and served honorably in the US ARMY. On September 12th, 1959, he married the love of his life, Eleanor R Green. Together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Jack was employed by B&W for over 30 years, where he had many longtime friends. He collected toy tractors, enjoyed woodworking, collected hay carriers, and loved working in his yard. He was a great support to all of his grandchildren in all activities. He was a 30+ year member of Ridgewood Baptist Church and a recent member of the Canaan Free Will Baptist Church. His proudest achievements were his large, loving family and his steadfast love of God.
He is survived by his beloved wife Eleanor; children Doug (Beth), Dan (Karen), Vicki (Ed); grandchildren Joe (Ally), Rachel, Josh (Lauren), Eric (April), Dawn (Jeff), Bret (Taylor); Six great-grandchildren with another on the way; brothers Dave, Bill, Mike; sisters Janet, Ruth, Becky and many, many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Bertha, his beloved brothers Tom, Larry and sister Ellen.
A special thank you to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jack’s name to the hospice or to any charity of your choice. No public services will be held, per his request.
