John Charles Macon Sr

Our Father, Pastor John Charles Macon Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He lived his entire life in service to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as he was raised to do by his parents. He pastored several churches and built a school that is still in operation today. He evangelized and spread the Gospel wherever he went, from the streets to the halls of congress. Dad never met a stranger. He was a caring father who taught us by example how to love and forgive.

Dad is now in Heaven alongside our mother, Faye; his second wife, Marlen; and our brother, John Jr. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Early and Elizabeth (Bessie), and five siblings, Rudolph (who gave his life in WWII), Early Jr, Glenn, Alyne Gray, and Maree Blackwell.

He is survived by his daughters, April (Craig) Geis and Angel (Chris) Adkins; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a small Celebration of Life with close family and friends at Rachel’s Restaurant in Austintown on Saturday, August 27, 2022  4:00-7:00pm.
