Joann M. (Heiser) Waidman

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend went home to be with her heavenly Father on April 4, 2018 after a brief illness.  JoAnn was born August 27, 1954 to the late Clark and Eileen (Rohr) Heiser. Jo Ann was the perfect example of a devoted wife to her husband, Mark, of 42 years.  She was a stable force in the lives of her two sons Eric and Kevin and the proud, doting grandmother of her 4 precious grandchildren. JoAnn was formerly self-employed as a wall paper hanger. She also refurbished and sold furniture and was most recently employed part-time at Aultman Hospital where she would comfort many families and patients as she went about her housekeeping duties. JoAnn was a resident of Willowdale Lake for over 20 years. She loved the water and would kayak in the early morning hours, praying for her neighbors as she passed their houses. She shared the love of the lake with her family by taking them on pontoon rides and having bonfires.  She enjoyed swimming across the lake either alone or with her friends. She brought so much joy, happiness, and laughter to everyone she met.  She was an inspiration to every person who crossed her path. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Sedlock, Beverly Eichler, and infant brother, Tommy Heiser. She is survived by her best friend and husband, Mark, her sons who she loved so much, Eric of Scio, and Kevin (Jenni) of Canton and her four grandchildren, Gauge, Brooklyn, Hailey, Kelsey who were the absolute love of her life, and sisters, Joyce Ramey of Canton, Barbara (Wayne) Roskos of Hartville, Rose Mason of Canton, and brother, Kenneth (Liz) Heiser of North Canton, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

On Monday, April 16, 2018, a celebration of life will be held at Faith Family Church in North Canton where she was a faithful member for many years. She volunteered as a greeter in order to welcome visitors and members to share in the worship of her God. The service will begin at 6:00 pm. Pastor Chris Jacobs officiating. Church is located at 8200 Freedom Ave. NW North Canton, 44720. Use Door “B” when entering. Desserts and beverages will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation at 1 Perkins Square Akron, OH 44308. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family at
