Jessica Ann Sowell

Born: 06/27/1963 Passed:
Jessica Ann Sowell, age 55 passed away at her home suddenly on Monday, February 11th 2019. Jessica was a resident of Fairview Park, Ohio. She was born on June 27th, 1963 to Joyce and John Sowell in Columbia, South Carolina. She is survived by her long term partner, Kris Clark; two children Alexander Dickson and Alexandria (Marc) Remy and her very loved grandchildren, Marc, Destiny, Faith, Makayla, Nevaeh, Ava, Sophia, Matthew, Charity and Mia.
Jessica will be remembered by her devotion to helping and caring for others. Whether it was serving as a deacon at her church, disaster mission trips, planning community picnics, rallying donations for food baskets for the less fortunate or preparing meals for the needy, Jessica had a heart for helping those in need. She had the warmest hug and an infectious laugh. She loved and adored her grandchildren and spent countless hours planning and making crafts, walking to the library and park, exploring nature, baking and trying new recipes and caring for them. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her the most joy.
Jessica enjoyed her time worshiping in church and was a devoted member to First Presbyterian Church of Akron, Ohio and John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Olmsted, Ohio. Here, she could be herself, find peace and serve our Lord. She made many long term friendships in these churches that helped her through her hardest of days.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at John Knox Presbyterian Church at 25200 Lorain Rd. North Olmsted, OH 44070 on Saturday February 23rd 2019 at 5pm with a reception to follow. There will also be a coffee hour and time to remember gathering on Sunday, March 31st 2019 at 12:15pm at The Vine Fellowship Church 3676 Community Lane Suite 100 Copley Ohio 44321. In lieu of wearing black to mourn, the family is inviting attendees to wear purple, Jessica’s favorite color, to celebrate her life.
