The journey that we call life has led Jacquelyn (Jackie) J. Murphy, 79, of the Portage Lakes, to her final garden on March 14, 2023. In this garden the flowers will always bloom and the birds will sing their constant songs. Jackie loved to spend time planting, pruning and learning all she could on how to make the most beautiful gardenscapes. She would spend the mornings watching the birds eat from the suet she made with love just for them. That is who she was, a mother to all. If birds wore coats she would have sewn or knitted each one their very own.
Jackie was a loving mother to Jody Murphy. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jack and Phyllis Giron; and dear sister to Michael (Dana) Giron, Patrick (Brenda) Giron and the late Daniel Giron and Mark (Jody) J. Giron. Jackie loved and cherished many nieces, nephews, and many friends that were like her family. Of course, her furkids were always by her side, Hannah and Maggie.
Jackie was an Executive Secretary who retired from Children Services of Summit County. More importantly she made it her goal to learn something new every day. She made that goal look easy. She enjoyed researching everything and trying new recipes.
A celebration of her life will be held at an appropriate time when the outdoors can be shared with the flowers and wildlife. In lieu of flowers please spread a pack of wild flowers in her memory.
