James Reed

Jim passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his children and family, on March 17th, 2024. He was born on May 2nd 1963, in Buffalo, N.Y. to Ruth B. Reed (nee Saunders) and Carl Dennis Reed. Jim grew up on Lotus Bay, in Brant New York, and then later moved to Wooster, Ohio, where he met his wife, Cheryl. Jim was a master welder by trade and he loved music and playing guitar. Everyone who knew Jim was touched by his sense of generosity and his kind spirit. His sense of humor and penchant for pranks is legendary and fully inherited by his five beautiful children, Eric (Jennifer) Reed, of Dennison, Texas; Alicia Reed, Jamie Reed, and Jennifer Reed-Lammer (Kevin) Lammer, all of Lahaina, Hawaii; Jessica Reed of Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his loving, wonderful and caring wife, Cheryl Sue Reed (nee Morrelle), of Canton, Ohio. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Kahlia Daejanae Randle, Ke’arra Kristiona Robinson, Julian Gurau, and Elias Reed. Jim is predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Gunn, and he is also survived by brothers, Clenn Reed (Kate Blough) of Ossining, N.Y; John (Cheryl) Reed, of Westfield , N.Y.; Tara Rogers of Florida; Josie Reed, of Missouri, and Renee (Bert) Michaud, of West Palm Beach, Florida.
