James A. McDonald Jr.

July 20, 1947 – September 21, 2023

Born in Canton, Ohio. To the late James A. and Delores J. McDonald.   A near lifelong resident of Louisville, Ohio. Jim served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1968.   Jim married the love of his life, Linda L. Conway on December 16, 1967. They remained married until Linda’s death on December 23, 2013.  Jim was a devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 40 years.  Jim’s passion was to help others attain sobriety. And over the years, he accomplished that. Many, many times over.  Jim loved reading and watching movies and shows about the military.  He also had a deep passion for religious readings and programs.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Linda; as well as their daughter, Kimberly Lynn; brothers, Greg and Kevin and sister Mary.

Jim is survived by his three sons, Christopher, Patrick, and Michael (Emily) McDonald; three granddaughters, Sierra, Hannah and Maggie McDonald; brothers, Michael and Leo; sisters, Rita, Patty, Maggie and Gina; and lifelong friend, David D. Willis.

A Celebration of Life (Wake) will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 2 – 6 PM @ The Irish Pub & Grill 8009 Hills and Dales Rd. NW Massillon, OH  44646
