Henry Walden, a beloved husband, father, and Veteran, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, in Westlake, Ohio. He was born December 31, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Henry leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, having been married to his cherished wife, Andrea Walden (nee Makuch), for 63 years. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and countless memories. Henry is survived by his children: Christopher (wife Marybeth), Timothy (partner Tina), Andrea (husband Maurice), and Bethany (husband William).
He was also a loving grandfather to Taylor, Ryan, Anthony, Amanda, Kristin, Jeremy, Pony, Christian, Andrew, and Spencer. Henry cherished his role as a great-grandfather and leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
A proud patriot, Henry served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army. His dedication to duty and service to others exemplified his character and values.
In addition to his military service, Henry was a devoted family man who instilled in his children the importance of integrity, hard work, and compassion. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Henry was a passionate supporter of all Cleveland sports teams and enjoyed a final victory for the Guardians on the day of his passing.
Henry is preceded in death by his sons, Patrick and Michael.
Though Henry has departed from this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be remembered fondly for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
