On Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020, Guy Tausch, 61, went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his family after an extended illness.
Guy was born on July 18th, 1958, in Canton, Ohio to Margaret “Peg” Tausch. He was a 1976 Graduate of Perry High School and worked at Foltz Machine for over 20 years as a Machinist. Guy lived life to the fullest and created many memories with his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He loved being outdoors and could often be found working in the yard, running the dogs, caring for his ducks, building jungle gyms and tree houses or fishing in the creek with his grandkids. He also loved the New York Jets, riding ATV’s, his Harley Davidson, boating at Tappan Lake, being an “all-time quarterback” for backyard football games, and family adventures at Clay’s Park and Sippo Lake. Everyone who knew him loved his contagious laugh and strong, loving hugs.
Guy will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend, Rene’; their children Michelle (Bryan) Wright, Tony (Jen) Tausch, Nate (Crystal) Tausch, and Nikki (Tim) Tausch-Schrader. Also known as Papaw; Guy had 13 grandchildren he loved dearly, Dan, Jaime, Devin, Ashley, Sidney, Leah, Lexi, Morgan, Avery, Ashlyn, Anthony, Peyton and little Skylar who will be blessing the family with her arrival on March 27th; siblings, Mark (Kathy) Tausch, Sherri (Steve) Pease Todd Tausch, Garry (Michele) Tausch, and Larry (Shelly) Tausch,
The family will be hosting an open-house Celebration of Life on February 1st, 2020, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at La Pizzaria in Room B, located at 3656 Dressler Road NW., Canton, Ohio 44718. Memorial Donations may be made in Guy’s name, to the wonderful team at Stark Parks – Wildlife Conservation Center on Genoa Ave. in Massillon, Ohio.
