th

, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Mary Nose.

Their love story began in summer of 1956, at Euclid Beach Park, in Cleveland, Ohio on the Dodgem Bumper ride, Gene intentionally bumped into to back of Judy’s car several times, Judy bumped him back so hard he spun around! The joy ride continued…… Gene was just smitten with Judy’s beauty and Judy just could not resist Gene’s southern charm! So, they were married June 27

th

, 1959. They raised six children together. Early in the marriage they loved go to movies and out to dinner. They loved taking their kids, their dog Yogi on road trips to Fulton, MS to visit Gene’s family and on the way there, they would stop and camp in the Tennessee Smokey Mountains.

Gene worked hard as a successful salesman for over 50 years at Cleveland Cap-screw and Flex Alloy Inc. In his spare time, Gene loved to go camping and fishing with his children.  As Gene aged, he relaxed at home, playing his guitar along to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, with dogs Bella and Sarge at his side (and those pet companions that preceded). He loved watching John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke. He kept us entertained with his silly made-up jokes.

Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was God’s angel sent to the earth to lift our spirits and always put all our needs before her own. She truly focused on each person’s strengths, while showing compassion for their challenges.  She was an excellent cook; a family favorite was her mouth-watering roast beef. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved them unconditionally. She made it her mission to spoil them with an enormous array of gifts, yummy treats on the holidays, birthdays or just because they were so darn cute. Judy would make us all laugh hysterically with her sassy comments, especially after she’s had too many mudslides.  She loved shopping with her daughter, and granddaughters.

Gene and Judy’s most cherished moments were spent at their beautiful home on 8 acres in Sagamore Hills, Ohio. On Sundays, holidays, birthdays, family and friends would all come over for barbeques, board games, baseball games, basketball games, swimming, golf, camping and bonfires. Gene and Judy also loved cheering on the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians with their family. Gene and Judy made so many beautiful memories with us! They will never be forgotten.  May they rest in heavenly peace with our Lord and Savior.

In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Howard.  Judy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary; sisters, Mary, Dorothy, Chris, Rosie, Jean, Bridget, Joan; and brothers, John, Edward and James.

Gene and Judy are survived by children, Greg, Shawn, Kim (Bill), Rod, Ryan (Sue) and Todd; grandchildren, Bethany, Nicholas, Marissa, Erica, Zachary, Sarah, Jacob, Nicole, Christian, Ryan, and Julia; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Lennon; Gene’s sisters, Mary Jo, Johnnie, Martha; Judy’s sister, Ruth; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Hospice of the Western Reserve for their care and compassion for Gene and Judy over the past year. A Funeral Service/Mass will be held on Saturday, August 28
