Gary W. Orum, 73, of Wadsworth, OH passed away Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 peacefully in his sleep at home. Born in Akron, OH in 1948 to the late Charles and Earline (Wilson) Orum.  He graduated from Lake High School. Gary served in the 22nd Infantry as a Sp5 in Vietnam Triple Deuce (Mechanized) and is an honored veteran. He worked at Firestone Country Club and Medina Country Club as a groundskeeper.

Gary never met a stranger. He was loved and respected as a wonderful father and grandfather and was always there when you needed him. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, attending their games and other events, and walking his dog. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan (Older) Orum; their children, Wendy (Joseph) Smith, Gary (Kimberly) Orum; grandchildren, Joseph, Kenneth, Charles, and Timothy Smith, Mackenzie, Madison, Eli and Kayleigh Orum; sisters, Susan (Bob) Mackenzie and Conniie (Russ) Lizzoli.

Per his request, cremation has taken place and he will be entombed this summer at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
