Everett Carl Pierson

DECEMBER 16, 1941 – OCTOBER 28, 2022

Everett was born in Mellin, WV, the 10

th

child of Russell and Flora Pierson.  He attended Cairo (WV) schools before moving to Alliance, OH to work at Transue & Williams Forge.  He married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Nichols, on December 30, 1962.   They were married for 57 years.

Everett enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, telling stories, and visiting with the men he worked with at T&W and his special friends in Cairo.   He especially looked forward to hearing online Sunday morning sermons by Pastor Josh.

Everett is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn; son-in-law Jeffrey Holbrook; brothers Warren, Virgil, Russell (Holly), and Jesse Pierson; sisters Mary Reynolds, Juanita Berry, Hilda Dulin, Ora Yonley, and Iwana Ruth Priselac; niece, Lola Longobardi; and special brother and sister-in-law, Rodger and Shirley Jonas.

Everett is survived by his children, Kimberly Holbrook, Carl Pierson, Sheri (Bruce) Pierson-Boehm, Dianna Pierson, and Michelle (Calvin) Aldridge; grandchildren Jessica (David Schuler) Holbrook, Emily Holbrook, Alissa (Chris) Soliday, Johnathan Aldridge, Benjamin (Hannah) Holbrook, and Brandon (Stephanie) Aldridge; great-grand-children, Lydia Schuler, Parker Aldridge, Addison Orth, and CJ & Braxton Soliday; brother, Larry Pierson of Harrisville, WV, sister, Carolyn Shafer of Waverly, WV, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Suzi.

Services will be Friday, November 4, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Alliance, 1659 W. State Street, Alliance, OH  44601, with Rev. Joshua Smith officiating.  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Internment will be at Cairo IOOF Cemetery, Cairo, WV at a later date.
