Dr. Margaret Kate “Katie” Warner
Dr. Margaret Kate “Katie” Warner (Age 46) died unexpectedly on December 24th, 2020 in Hudson, Ohio. We will always remember her for the passions and loves that marked her life: education, music, and her wonderful children. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Akron in 2016, serving as a lecturer in curricular and instructional studies, and went on to pursue many interests and talents. We mourn her loss but celebrate the light and love she added to the world.
Katie is survived by her children, Jack and Ellie; her parents, Suzanne (Jerry) Davis and Charles (Deborah) Murdoch; sister, Anne “Betsy” (Emanuele) Bianchini; her former spouse, Carlos Warner; a special partner, Peter Smith; nieces and nephew, extended family, and many other dear friends.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, the celebration of Katie’s life will be private; however, it can be viewed at
