Dorothy J. Herman

Dorothy (Dottie) J. Herman (nee Bower) of Portage Lakes, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023. She was born in Portages Lakes, Ohio, on May 11, 1928, to the late Ralph and Rita Bower.  She was a Coventry High School graduate, also a majorette. Mom’s hands were full of skill and talent. They produced so many amazing things. 

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene, and Bunchie; brother, Buddy; the love of her life, Larry; daughter, Patsy; and grandson, Kody. 

She is survived by her twin sisters, Carol and Cheryl; her loving children, Paula, Peggy, Larry, Penny (Richard), and Pam (Scott); cherished grandchildren: Jason (Ruthie), Jodi (Brendan), Eric (Sharon), Tracy (Bob), David (Heather), Dustin, Chad, Derek (Kim), Dieken (Danielle), Kylie, Katie, Kendall (Aaron), dear great-great grandchildren, Dawson, Danity, Carter, Ryan (Tara), Brandon, Justin, Brittany, Claire, Presley, Reilly, Adrian, Aubry, Hadley, Diem, and great, great, great grandchildren Rylnn and Ryker, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews who loved their Aunt Dot.  The family would also like to thank her caregiver, Laurie who took impeccable care of our Mama until the end.
