David Gladden Smith
David Gladden Smith was born February 24, 1947 and passed away October 24, 2019. David was born to Madeline and Mannie Smith in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years with a tour of duty in Vietnam. David was retired from Windstream Communications with 43 years of dedicated service. He has been a faithful volunteer at the Riverside YMCA in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and his church, Grace Fellowship in Canton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his son, Raymond Paul.
David is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Vicki Smith; sisters, Rita Houser (Jerry) and Carlene Wright (Kevin); brother, Joseph Faires (Kelly); stepdaughter, Melissa Hamp (William); grandsons, Jacob and Nathan Hamp and many nieces and nephews.
A service Celebrating David’s life will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019 beginning at 10 am at Grace Fellowship, 6282 Nave St. SW Canton, Ohio 44706.
