Daniel “Scott” Mattocks 12/15/1960 – 03/14/2021

Scott Mattocks passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.  Per his wishes, he slipped away at his home while holding the hand of his wife, Roseanne.

Scott loved his large, extensive family and especially enjoyed spending time with his Mother, Carol DeRaimo.

He truly believed that life was meant to be lived to the fullest and his larger than life personality fit the philosophy perfectly.

Scott always pursued his dreams and passions. He worked hard to build a small yet successful electrical contracting business.  He loved his employees, clients, business associates and all other involved in the industry.  They all meant so much to him.

He put the same energy into his other interests.  He performed in local bands over a period of two decades.  He had the pleasure of working with some of the best musicians in Ohio and loved them all like family.

He enjoyed meeting new people and especially loved the folks he met while boating on Lake Erie.  Scott is being cremated and he wishes to have his cremains released into the waters north of Kelly’s Island once the weather allows for it.

He spent much of his free time connecting with friends that enjoyed the same interests.  He loved to ride his motorcycle, fish, camp, ski, travel, cook, boat and golf.

On August 29, 2017 Scott hit a hole in one on Ridgewood Golf Course in Parma, Ohio.  It was hole 18, a par 3, 143 yards with a 7 iron.  It was one of his happiest days on earth.  He beamed with joy and grinned from ear to ear.

Just like that hole in one was a one in a million event, so was Scott.  He was truly one in a million.

Due to Covid-19 his service and memorial has been postponed.  A gathering will be planned once it is safe for travel and groups of many can do so safely.  In the interim, please remember him fondly and pray for his family and friends.
