Daniel G. Newsome, age 90, of New Franklin, Ohio passed away on May 3, 2020 in Barberton, Ohio after a short illness. He was born on October 27, 1929 in Richwood, WV to the late Frank and Minnie (Taylor) Newsome. Dan moved from Craigsville, WV to Akron, OH and worked for Newsome & Work Metalizing for over 50 years. He always looked forward to going to dear camp every year to hunt and spend time with family and friends. Loved Family!!! Especially the social time in the evenings.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Harry Ralph (Pat) Newsome, Freda (Harry) Rowe, Reba (Shirley) Groves, Patty (Whitie) Blake and Arthela Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Opal Louise Newsome; children, Sheila (Ulysses) Durchanek, Daniel Brien (Eugena) Newsome and Harry Scott Newsome; grandchildren, Stacy Frame, Brianna (Brian) Frase, Samuel (Maddi) Newsome and Trent Newsome; great-granddaughter, Bexley Frase and sister, Jackie Martz of Barberton, Ohio.

So many fun times had with uncle Dan when I was growing up, Hated to see him move to Ohio. I guess it was time to share him with my family that lived in Ohio. He will be missed by us all.

Uncle Dan, going to miss your contagious laugh and the fun we had laughing with you at Curtain bridge at the old farm hous when I was a boy and the few times we shared as adults.
