Crystal Lee Henke of Canton Ohio passed away January 31st, 2019 following a long battle with cancer at the age of 35. She was born March 5th, 1983 in Canton, Ohio. Crystal married her High School Sweetheart, Brian Henke in March of 2005. She started in 2009 working at Canton City Schools. Doing what she loved working with children as a Teacher Assistant/ Follow Along. During her time working at the schools she met a lot of great people she loved working with. She enjoyed spending time at VFW Post #3747 with her family and friends. In her free time, she liked to cook, draw, read, and crochet. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and furbabies.

Crystal was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. She was very family orientated. She had such a positive bubbly personality, who could always make you laugh. She was a bright light that shined even in the darkest times. A beautiful soul who will never be forgotten by anyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her.

She is preceded in death by her uncle, Donald Henke and mother-in-law, Denise Hurst who recently also lost their battle with cancer.

Crystal is survived by her husband, Brian Henke; her three children, Brian, Devin, and Kylee Henke; parents, Curtis and Ann Hanmer; four brothers, Craig, Charles, Curtis, and Cody Hanmer; mother-in-law, Shirley McNutt; three brothers-in-law, Paul Henke, Jason, and Aaron Baker; sister-in-law, Amanda Henke; closest friends, Ryan (the other husband) and Chryssi (Wifey) Fowler and their children, Catheryne, Makaden, Dylan, Nevaeh, and Ellih; adopted father, Russ Moses; numerous nieces and nephews; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on February 16th, 2019 from 2 – 9 pm at VFW Post #3747, 1935 Avalon Ave. N.E. in Canton Ohio 44705. All are welcome.

    Mrs. Henke has always been apart of my life, from the time I was in elementary school as the playground lady, to the present as a home away from home. It didn’t matter what was going on, or when, Mrs. Henke, and all of the Henke household, has always been there. I’m gonna miss you Mrs. Henke.
