Clyde “Skip” Edmund Dawson

Clyde “Skip” Edmund Dawson age 76, passed away on the morning of December 18, 2020 due to complications associated with COVID-19 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Clyde was born on January 24, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Ralph Clinton and Naomi Marie O’Neil Dawson. He was instantly connected to Lorie after asking her to dance the night they met and married May 1, 1973. He lived most of his life in Toledo, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by oldest son, Ralph C. Dawson II.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Lorie L. Podgorski Dawson; sons, Jonathan L. McHenry [previously known as Clyde E. Dawson II], Shawn M. Dawson, Gary A. Dawson, and John P. Dawson; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Private services were held at Heritage Cremation Society on Monday, December 21, 2020.  Memorial services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery and Arboretum in Toledo, Ohio sometime in late spring/early summer 2021, when COVID-19 gathering limitations are lifted.
